The latest version of the Armored Range Rover Sentinel was revealed by the Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations that adds more refined power, an all-terrain capability and keeping up with the latest in occupant safety.

The 5-liter supercharged engine gives a boost of 40PS over the V6 petrol fitted previously, ensuring that the Range Rover retains its exceptional capabilities on all terrains. The Sentinel with more one ton of armor plate and glass will accelerate from 0 – 100 km/h in 10.4 seconds (0-6-mph in 9.8 seconds) to the limited top speed of 193km/h (120mph).

Built at the SV technical Centre in Warwickshire with designed and engineering of Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations, the armored Sentinel provides world-class comfort with peerless occupant security.

The enhanced body is engineered to withstand both modern and unconventional form of attack, which also includes an improvised explosive device (IED) fragmentation blasts.

The Sentinel delivers on-road dynamics with the optimized chassis, suspension, braking, and electronic stability systems. It also retains an unparalleled off-road ability for an armored vehicle of this kind that enables it to tackle challenging terrain and deep-water crossings with ease. The wheels are specially manufactured to incorporate a run-flat system so the vehicle can be driven for more than 50km of distance with speed of 80km/h if the tire is damaged.

The Sentinel improves on cabin space, provides ample headroom and superior seating in comparison to the previous generation, which ensures that the occupants benefit from complete protection on the move as well as true world-class comfort. The Sentinel also comes equipped with Land Rover’s latest Touch Pro Duo infotainment system with two 10-inch high-resolution displays that are touch screens.

The Sentinel will also include the LED lighting from the latest Range Rover exterior design and will be offered with the optional Black Pack that adds black finish to trim items to create an even more sophisticated appearance.
